UV DTF is a transfer method for applying full-colour graphics to many hard, smooth surfaces. It is different from garment DTF because it is designed for products such as bottles, mugs, acrylic items and promotional products.
How UV DTF works
The artwork is printed using UV-curable inks and transferred through a film system. The finished decal is applied with pressure rather than the garment heat-press process.
Common applications
- Drinkware and bottles
- Mugs and tumblers
- Acrylic products
- Packaging
- Promotional items
Why businesses use UV DTF
It supports detailed full-colour branding and is useful for short runs or customized products.
Surface preparation matters
The item should be clean, dry and compatible with adhesive transfer. Oils, dust and rough textures can reduce adhesion.
